Design with Awnings to create individuality and flair

Enhance visual appeal by adding unique valance and trim, from a wide variety of colors and patterns and fabric alternatives.

Regardless of your design objectives, awnings and canopies provide shade and protection from inclement weather, and are more economical to build and maintain than comparable masonry and wood structures. From a conservation landscaping perspective, awnings placed on or near a home can reduce energy consumption for cooling by 25 percent or more.

Like awnings, valances and trim can be custom designed to fit any application. Here are a few style basics.

Free-hanging valance patterns
Scalloped edges – wave
Scalloped edges – Greek key
Scalloped edges – straight edge

Trim
Straight edge valances are hemmed and trimmed with or without binding or braid. Bindings and braids are available in many colors and widths.

In addition, many fabricators have their own custom valance and trim patterns.
